servings: 4
8 thick slices of hardy white bread
2 cloves garlic, peeled
7 oz thin sliced gruyere cheese
s&p
5 cups beef stock
+ preheat oven to 400°F
+ toast bread
+ in casserole dish layer bread, cheese, bread etc.
+ cover slowly w/ stock
+ bake for 15 min
+ serve
