Chili H1 *
1/2 tbsp shortening
1 lb cubed stew meat
1/2 lb lean ground beef
1 can kidney beans
1/2 onion, chopped
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
1 (6 oz) tomatoe paste
2 fresh jalapeno chile peppers
2 fresh red chile peppers
1 fresh hobenaro pepper
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp chili powder
2 cloves garlic (chopped)
2 tsp red peper
4 tbsp flower
s&p
3 cans beer
500 ml red wine

# chop beef, onions
# deseed (if you want it mild) & chop pepers
# Melt the shortening in a large skillet over medium high heat.
# in large sauce pot on medium heat add paste, tomatoes, beans, spice, garlic, beer & wine
# Add the stew meat to skillet and brown well on all sides.
# while retaining juices transfer meet to pot
# in skillet add the onions & pepers and saute for until tender.
# add to pot
# in skillet brown ground beef
# add to pot
# bring pot to boil @ high heat
# Reduce heat to low, cover, simmer for 1-8 hours.
# mix 4 tbsp flower with 1/4 cup wine so that it is thickened & lump free
# stir into pot at least 1 hour befor the chili is done
