Google Map of all the known cemeteries in the Hampton Roads Area.
Oak Grove
Oak Grove is a mixture of old and new. Some of the stuff is brand
new while others are so old they have fallen apart. Lots of
diversity in the styles here and it is a good snapshot of the last 160
years worth of tombstones. Most cemeteries have strict rules about
what you can leave at a grave but there were at least two here that
had taken items you would find at a garden store and placed them at
a grave site.
Keep an eye out for the status that are missing hands, feet and heads.
It was so cold that the ice hadn't melted out of the flower holders
when I got there.
