Sewells Point

Mt Gilead Baptist Church is right next door but I am not sure there is
any affiliation between them and the cemetery.  The one repeated motif
on these markers is a four pointed star but the church doesn't seem to
have that.  The cemetery hasn't seen any real use since the 1950s and
the frequencey of cement tombstones points to it being a cemetery for
people who couldn't afford to be buried anyplace else.  The disrepair
here is evident.  But I did find one really nice looking mushroom that
looks like a Laetiporus sulphureus or Chicken of the Woods
which is an extreamly tasty mushroom but the mushroom talk happens
over here.
