Name: Benjamin
Rating: * of ****
Price: $8
It tasts like rasin water. It is not worth the price. It gives a bad
name to non-Portugal ports. Don't let the bottle fool you.

Name: Cockburn's Fine Ruby
Rating: ** of ****
Price: $11
First of all the lable tells you it is imported. Unless you live in Portugal all Portos are imported. Nice but nothing I would go out of my way for. Cheaper than Sandeman for a very close taste.

Name: Osborne Fine Ruby

Price: $10
I don't have much to report on this other than it is on par with the
other $10 brands.

Name: Reynella Fine Old Tawny Port
Rating: *** of ****
Price: $12
I would drink it again. It isn't from Portugal but it is rather good.
I would take this over a Benjamin any day.

Name: Sandeman Ruby

Price: $15
The Tawny is better.

Name: Sandeman Founders Reserve
Rating: *** of ****
Price: $16
This is good stuff. Very balanced. I recomend this one to anyone who
hasn't tried a Porto before since this can be found everywhere. It is a good starting place.

Name: Warre's Warrior
Rating: ** of ****
Price: $18
Not what it could be for the price. Seems thin and not nearly woody enough.

Name: Fonesca Twany Port
Rating: ** of ****
Price: $10
This was thin. It had a woodiness to it but didn't have the body to
match and lacked a good bouquet. I normally don't care about the packaging but
this bottle is very nicely done. It shows someone put some thought
into it without going over the top.

Name: Noval Special Reserve
Rating: ** of ****
Price: $23
This has one of the fanciest bottles out there. But the port is
something that could have easly come with of a $10 price.
Now I may have been cheated on this one. The bottle is clear and it
was on "while suplies last" clearance sale. How long had it sat
there? Did the clear bottle cause the flavor to die down from what it
had been when it was new?
I would be willing to try it again.

Name: Offley White
Rating: ** of ****
Price: $8
White ports down't get enough press. This competes with any average
red port and is $2 cheaper. Eventually people will figure this out
and the price will go up. But we can't win them all.

Name: Six Grapes
Rating: **** of ****
Price: $18
This is the good stuff. The perfect balance of fruit, wood,
tannin. Everything you ever wanted to know about a good port but were
too afraid to look at the price tag to learn about.
